A young man with his roots deeply embedded in Southern Gospel music going back to his great grandfather, Kermit Harper, who sang for a radio station here in Houston. He is the proud grandson of Marilyn Harper Welch, who has been singing and playing the piano in churches around Texas and surrounding states virtually her whole life.
"There's not a single day in my life when I don't remember hearing gospel music, I was raised on it, and I learned about God's love from it. It is my most passionate desire to try and translate just a little bit of God's unbelievable love for us and the life-changing message of Christ through gospel music. This music has literally been a lifeline to me many many times in my life, and I want to be able to pass that lifeline along to others as it's been passed on to me."
