I am Pat Hutchings from Winnie, Texas. I am a born again Christian and a gospel music soloist. I sing mostly Southern gospel but I try to add a little variety to appeal to everyone. I attend Christ’s Community Church in Vidor, Texas where my father is the pastor.
I have been singing most of my life and I felt lead by God to start a music ministry several years ago. I was formerly with a quartet but I felt that God had another plan for my ministry. After much prayer, I left the quartet about 5 years ago and began my solo ministry. I sing where ever God opens a door, whether it be a church, a mission, a nursing home, a benefit, or what ever. I give God all the praise for the talent He has given me and for allowing me to use it to present His message through song. If one soul is reached and brought into His kingdom then I have done what I feel God has called me to do.
As a soloist, I have sung in several churches and assisted living/nursing homes in the Winnie, Vidor, Port Arthur, Livingston, Mexia, San Antonio and Houston, Texas areas as well as churches in the Laurel and Bay Springs, Mississippi area. I have sung at the Simpson County Court House in Mendenhall, Mississippi, as well as the Mississippi State Quartet Convention at the Neshoba County Coliseum in Philadelphia, Mississippi. I have also sung at the Mayhaw Festival in Starks, Louisiana, and a Gospel Festival in DeQueen, Arkansas. While with the quartet, we sang at churches in the Pueblo, Colorado area as well as the V.A. nursing home and one of the missions in that area.
I was a finalist in the Inspire The Desire Gospel Talent Search Contest in 2006. I am a member of the Bay Area Gospel Music Association (BAGMA), the Association of Performing Christian Artists (APCA), Four States Gospel Music Association (FSGMA) as well as South Texas Gospel Music Association (STGMA). I was an associate producer for, and have performed on, the television show Bishop Dr. Delagraentiss Presents, which airs through Houston Media Source in the Houston, Texas area.
